Situated in southeastern Europe at the end of Balkan Peninsula, the international border of Greece touches the land borders with Albania, Bulgaria, Turkey and Republic of Macedonia. Kitesurfing in Greece gives an excellent experience as compared with other countries because of its unique geographical sites and high class facilities.

There are several factors responsible for the development of windsurfing games in the country. The beautiful Grecian coastlines and several islands spread over Mediterranean sea and many breath-taking mountainous heights attract people to enjoy Greece windsurfing in the leisure period. It lies between the latitudes 34° and 42° N, and longitudes 19° and 30° E so this country witnesses ideal weather conditions for the windsurfing most of the months in a year. The Aegean Sea is one of the best areas to practice windsurfing in the region especially in the summer seasons. The Meltemi winds that blow from May to September have enough fierce intensity to sail surfboards. Every year windsurfers visit to the islands called Naxos, Paros and Cycladic, where windsurfing conditions are very good and man made facilities are of world class. Kitesurfing is a major attraction of Greece's sports that is a blend of elements of windsurfing.

Naxos is the epicenter of windsurfing games in Greece located in the Aegean Sea. It is one of the biggest islands of the country that belongs to the Cyclades group. Its picturesque locations, sandy beaches and ideal wind force are helpful for the development of kitesurfing in Greece. Winds can exceed 40 knots with three-to-six-foot waves on which surfers can practice perfectly. Furthermore, the crystal clear water, sea arches and quaint towns play their role in popularizing the sports activities like kitesurfing and windsurfing. The breathtaking bay of Mikri Vigla, situated in the west of the island, also attracts surfers. The beaches are catering to all levels and preferences of professional and non-professional surfers

Paros island is another European hotspot for surfers and other tourists in general. This island is better known for windsurfing and kitesurfing activities because of its ideal windy conditions. Paros is listed one of the top windsurfing locations of the world. Many International competitions are organized here every year.
