Kahoona V2 Kite, Your Taste Of Freedom

First impression of the Best Kahoona 2010 V2 Kite.

Initially, the most beneficial Kahoona V2 looks to get taken the planning aspects pioneered inside the 09 kite to the extreme - the delta wingtips are massively swept back as well as the entire canopy seems more refined.

Unfortunately, Best made our minds up to simplify the graphics for the 2010 V2 Kahoona, as well as drop the white kite from other colour range - a bit of a shame in your opinion, because the 2009 Kahoona was a stunning looking kite.

Setting up the 2010 Best Kahoona V2.

Our demo kite was the 7.5m model, absolutely suitable for the 29kts steady cross shore breeze - within just 10-20 minutes we the Kahoona pumped up and able to fly. We could've managed it in just 5, but Best have left their excellent EZ Pump system over V2 Kahoona, saving it instead with the Waroo, Nemesis and Bularoo kites - again, we found slideshow little disappointing, but forgivable taking into consideration the affordable price on the Kahoona for 2010.First impression of the Best Kahoona 2010 V2 Kite.

Putting together this year's Best Kahoona V2.

Our demo kite was the 7.5m model, absolutely great for the 29kts steady cross shore breeze - in just 10 mins we'd the Kahoona pumped up and able to fly. We could've managed it in less than 5, but Best have remaining their excellent EZ Pump system off the V2 Kahoona, saving it instead for the Waroo, Nemesis and Bularoo kites - again, we found mtss is a little disappointing, but forgivable with the low cost on the Kahoona in 2010.
Flying the most beneficial Kahoona V2.

Once in the air the brand new V2 design changes are instantly appreciated, we found this year's Kahoona and Redline bar delivered stability like no other kitesurfing setup, handling was sharp without getting to snappy - the boost and hangtime have been hugely improved in 2010.

Despite a lot of practice, we still find a way to wipeout once or twice for most kitesurfing sessions, with all the Kahoona V2 we dropped the kite in the water once. The delta shape caused the kite to move itself to your side of the wind window, for a auto relaunch we were back and traveling in seconds.

Conclusion
This year's kite has gotten some excellent design upgrades from Best, whilst the 2009 Kahoona remains a great kite, the V2 is perfectly brilliant!
